Picture winners! That means it’s time for another “round-up.” Just like last time, I’ve grouped them by decade, from least favorite to favorite.

Last time, as I was set to head into the 1950s, I expressed
excitement, because I hadn’t seen many of them before. As you can see, however,
much of the 1950s were a bitter disappointment. On the other hand, both the
1960s & the 1970s were better than I’d anticipated. I have to admit that I’m
looking ahead to the 1980s & 1990s with no small amount of trepidation. I
have a feeling that a lot of excessive melodrama is headed my way. I guess I better grab my box of Kleenex!

I'm excited for the 80s too! Starting in the 90s I was more likely to watch the best picture movies as they were released, so this is the final decade of a whole bunch of "great" films I haven't gotten around to seeing.
ps. Poor Tom Jones.
Tom Jones earned its quarter star! Don't feel bad for it. Hands down, it's the worst movie I've ever sat all the way through.
