But once part of the USSR, no? I've always loved the name Minsk. I should probably name a cat that. It would be a good cat name.
Yes, Belarus is a former Soviet block country. And this project taught me that Chernobyl, while in Ukraine, is right on the border with Belarus. Also, I got a Jeopardy question about Belarus correct the other day. :)
I agree that Minsk is a great cat name.
