Plot Summary:
Twenty years after a group of scientists landed on a far-flung planet for research, Commander Adams (Nielsen) and his crew are sent to discover why no one has heard from them again. On the planet, they find only two survivors, Dr. Morbius (Pidgeon) and his beautiful, naive daughter, Altaira (Francis). Soon, all are embroiled in a deadly mystery. Stevens co-stars as Lt. “Doc” Ostrow.

Fred M. Wilcox is such a solid name, it almost seems made up. But he is a real person. Aside from this, he directed Lassie Come Home (and other stuff, too.)

Fun fact! He is one of six children, and his father was married six times (twice to one woman). The six children are all from the first wife, though.

For a second I thought you were going to tell me that he was married six times and had one child with each woman! Haha.
