I was curious about the article you found and so I found it too, and read it. It's not good, the impact of the return.
Having read "The Only Road" by Alexandra Diaz, which takes place in neighboring Guatemala, but which that article tells me has similar problems to El Salvador, let me say that I would not want to return to El Salvador, after living in the US for so many years.
Yeah, that news article was pretty depressing. I don't recall ever hearing much of anything good about El Salvador, which is sad. It seems like it's been a troubled country for a very long time.
